ROUTINES

All Exobots have a certain number of genes that help determine the final stats. These genes are called routines, and there are three different types:

Main routine: These genes are the major ones. They not only grant the Exobot the major boost to their stats, but also determine the parts type.

Sub-routines: The subroutines are ‘hidden’ genes that can come from any type of Exobot, but they won’t affect the parts or cards. There are two levels of subroutines: sub-routine 1 and sub-routine 2.

Sub-routine 1: It grants a boost to the two stats of the Exobot type that gen belongs to.

Sub-routine 2: It grants a lesser boost to only the main stat of the Exobot type that gen belongs to.

Each part has all three routines, and each routine can also be of a different type.

To know better how routines work, here’s the main and secondary stat for every type of Exobot and each routine:

SLOTS

Leaning towards purity can be highly benefical, as it grants your Exobot a few exclusive bonuses that wouldn’t be otherwise achievable, though always at the cost, of course, of losing a little bit of versatility.

Depending on how many parts (main routines) match the Core type, the Exobot will reach a certain Purity Level, which will determine how many slots it will have to equip some items. This work as follows:

Purity Level
Available slots

1

1

2

1

3

2

4

2

5

3

6

4

However, the purer an Exobot gets, the less mergeable it will be, as we point out in the ‘Merge’ section of this whitepaper, so keep that in mind.

At first, all Exobots will have their slots locked and you will be unable to equip any items on them, but as they level up, said slots will be unlocked. By equipping items, players will be able to further customize their Exobots by boosting some of their stats or enhancing their card effects.
